ROUGH DIAMOND IDENTIFICATION & YIELD ASSESSMENT

Before manufacturing begins, every rough diamond undergoes a comprehensive gemological and technical assessment. Our experts examine the stone’s natural characteristics, commercial potential, manufacturing risks, and expected polished output before recommending any action.

OUR PROCESS

Initial Identification
Inspection of the rough diamond’s shape, weight, surface characteristics, crystal structure, and general condition.
Natural Diamond Verification
Advanced screening and gemological testing to verify that the stone is natural and identify any unusual or potentially treated characteristics.
Colour and Clarity Assessment
Preliminary evaluation of colour, clarity, inclusions, transparency, fluorescence, and internal features affecting the final result.
Yield Forecast and Manufacturing Manifest
Preparation of a detailed report outlining potential polished shapes, estimated finished weight, expected quality, manufacturing risks, and projected value.
GEMOLOGICAL ADVISORY & FIELD INSPECTION
INSPECT. ADVISE. PROTECT.

GEMOLOGICAL ADVISORY & FIELD INSPECTION

Goldiama provides professional gemological services for private clients, companies, investors, and business associates requiring independent expertise before purchasing, selling, accepting, or manufacturing diamonds and gemstones. Our gemologists can travel to the client’s location, supplier’s office, trading centre, secure facility, or other agreed location to perform an independent assessment before any transaction takes place.

OUR PROCESS

On-Site Gemologist Deployment
Assignment of an experienced gemologist to inspect diamonds or gemstones at the required location.
Independent Identification and Verification
Assessment of natural origin, identity, approximate quality, condition, potential treatments, and consistency with available documentation.
Pre-Transaction Risk Assessment
Identification of quality concerns, valuation risks, document inconsistencies, manufacturing limitations, or other factors that may affect the transaction.
Gemological Report and Recommendation
Delivery of a professional inspection report with findings, photographs, observations, and recommendations before the client proceeds with a purchase or sale.
ADVANCED DIAMOND PLANNING
SCAN. MAP. OPTIMISE.

ADVANCED DIAMOND PLANNING & VALUE OPTIMISATION

Every rough diamond must be carefully planned before cutting. Goldiama uses advanced diamond-scanning and planning technology, including Sarine and Galaxy systems, to analyse the internal structure of the stone and determine the most valuable manufacturing solution. The objective is not simply to retain maximum weight, but to achieve the strongest balance between carat weight, shape, colour, clarity, cut quality, market demand, and final value.

OUR PROCESS

Three-Dimensional Scanning
Digital scanning of the rough diamond to create an accurate three-dimensional model of its external shape and internal structure.
Inclusion and Clarity Mapping
Identification and mapping of inclusions, fractures, tension areas, cavities, and other internal characteristics that may affect manufacturing.
Polished Diamond Simulations
Development of multiple cutting scenarios showing possible shapes, sizes, clarity outcomes, weight retention, and estimated market value.
Final Planning Report
Preparation of the recommended manufacturing plan, including polished output options, technical risks, expected yield, and projected commercial return.
PRECISION DIAMOND CUTTING
CUT. POLISH. PERFECT.

PRECISION DIAMOND CUTTING & POLISHING

Once the manufacturing plan is approved, the diamond enters Goldiama’s controlled in-house cutting and polishing process. Our master polishers combine advanced manufacturing technology with decades of practical experience to transform each rough diamond into its highest-value polished form while maintaining strict control over symmetry, proportions, brilliance, weight retention, and finish.

OUR PROCESS

Marking, Sawing and Cleaving
The rough diamond is precisely marked and divided according to the approved manufacturing plan.
Bruting and Shape Formation
The stone is shaped to establish its outline, dimensions, girdle, and required polished form.
Faceting and Precision Polishing
Each facet is cut and polished to achieve the required proportions, symmetry, light performance, and visual appearance.
In-Process and Final Quality Control
Continuous inspection throughout production, followed by final verification of weight, measurements, symmetry, polish, finish, and compliance with the approved plan.
INTERNATIONAL LABORATORY CERTIFICATION
GRADE. CERTIFY. AUTHENTICATE.

INTERNATIONAL LABORATORY CERTIFICATION

Following completion of the polishing process, Goldiama prepares the diamond for independent grading and certification by a globally recognised gemological laboratory. Depending on the diamond and the client’s requirements, Goldiama can coordinate certification submissions to laboratories including GIA, IGI, and HRD Antwerp.

OUR PROCESS

Pre-Certification Inspection
Final internal review of the polished diamond’s weight, measurements, condition, finish, and expected grading characteristics.
Laboratory Selection
Recommendation of the most appropriate internationally recognised laboratory based on the diamond, destination market, and client objectives.
Secure Submission Coordination
Preparation of the required documentation and coordination of secure delivery, submission, tracking, and collection.
Report Review and Verification
Review of the issued laboratory report to confirm the diamond’s identification, grading results, inscription details, and consistency with the submitted stone.
DIAMOND COMMERCIALISATION
LIST. SELL. LIQUIDATE.

DIAMOND COMMERCIALISATION & LIQUIDITY SOLUTIONS

Once a diamond has been polished and certified, Goldiama can assist the owner in converting the finished asset into liquidity. Clients may request a direct purchase evaluation from Goldiama, offer the diamond privately through our international network, or list it through our diamond platform for exposure to qualified buyers.

OUR PROCESS

Direct Purchase Evaluation
