01. Introduction

Goldiama LLC (operating goldiama.com) is a UAE-licensed dealer in precious metals, engaged in the wholesale and retail sale of gold and silver bullion. We are fully committed to operating in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates and with international standards on anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CFT), counter-proliferation financing (CPF), responsible sourcing, and sanctions compliance.

Compliance is not a formality for us it is a core operating principle. The integrity of our supply chain, the trust of our clients, and the security of the wider financial system depend on it.

02. Regulatory Framework

As a Dealer in Precious Metals and Stones (DPMS), Goldiama LLC is classified as a DNFBP under UAE law, operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism (MoET).

  • Federal Decree-Law No. 10 of 2025 on Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorism Financing and Counter-Proliferation Financing, which repealed and replaced Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2018.
  • Cabinet Decision No. 134 of 2025, the implementing regulation of Federal Decree-Law No. 10 of 2025.
  • Cabinet Decision No. 10 of 2019 (as applicable and as amended).
  • Cabinet Resolution No. 74 of 2020 on Terrorism Lists and the implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions.
  • Cabinet Resolution No. 109 of 2023 on the Regulation of Beneficial Ownership Procedures.
  • Ministerial Decree No. 68 of 2024 on responsible sourcing of gold (where applicable).
03. AML / CFT Program

Goldiama maintains a risk-based AML/CFT/CPF programme proportionate to the nature and size of our business. The programme includes documented policies and procedures, a business-wide risk assessment, customer due diligence, ongoing monitoring, suspicious transaction reporting, record keeping, training, and independent review.

04. Compliance Officer

Goldiama has appointed a designated AML/Compliance Officer (MLRO) with sufficient seniority and independence to oversee the compliance framework, assess and report suspicious activity, and act as the principal point of contact with the relevant authorities.

05. Customer Due Diligence (KYC)

We identify and verify the identity of every customer before establishing a business relationship or carrying out qualifying transactions. Enhanced due diligence is applied to higher-risk customers, including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and customers from higher-risk jurisdictions.

06. Transaction Monitoring and Reporting

Transactions are monitored on a risk-sensitive basis. Where we know, suspect, or have reasonable grounds to suspect money laundering, terrorism financing or proliferation financing, we file a Suspicious Transaction Report (STR) / Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) with the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (UAEFIU) via the goAML platform, without tipping off the customer.

07. Sanctions and Targeted Financial Sanctions Compliance

We screen customers and counterparties against the UN Security Council Consolidated List and the UAE Local Terrorist List, and comply with all applicable Targeted Financial Sanctions (TFS) obligations, including freezing without delay and reporting to the Executive Office for Control & Non-Proliferation (EOCN).

08. Responsible Sourcing of Precious Metals

Goldiama is committed to responsible, conflict-free sourcing aligned with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains and applicable UAE good-delivery / responsible-sourcing requirements. We assess supply-chain risks and decline business that cannot meet our sourcing standards.

09. Record Keeping

We retain customer due diligence records, transaction records and supporting documentation for a minimum of five (5) years from the end of the business relationship or the date of the transaction, and make them available to competent authorities on request.

10. Staff Training and Awareness

All relevant staff receive AML/CFT training on appointment and on a regular ongoing basis, covering legal obligations, red-flag indicators, internal reporting procedures and the consequences of non-compliance.

11. Ultimate Beneficial Ownership

We identify and verify the Ultimate Beneficial Owner(s) (UBO) of corporate customers and maintain accurate, up-to-date beneficial ownership information in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. 109 of 2023.

12. Cooperation with Authorities

Goldiama cooperates fully and promptly with the MoET, the UAEFIU, the EOCN and other competent authorities, responding to lawful requests for information and supporting investigations as required.

13. Payments

We apply controls on cash and high-value transactions in line with UAE requirements, including the reporting of qualifying cash transactions at or above the prescribed threshold (currently AED 55,000) to the relevant authorities, and we encourage traceable payment methods.
